MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT
To our valued members;
It is an honour to serve as President of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce for 2011-2012.
Please remember that when you require a particular product or service, the Aurora Chamber of Commerce should be the first place you refer to. There are hundreds of member businesses that are owned by people, just like you, who have joined so that they can take advantage of the many membership benefits. It’s all about ‘Moving Aurora Business Forward’.
I strongly believe that networking is one of the most powerful ways to promote any business and develop contacts…BUSINESS WORKS WHEN IT NETWORKS.
Taking a little time from our busy lives and careers to attend a Networking Breakfast, Business After Five, Learning Exchange or luncheon, or to volunteer on a Chamber committee are terrific ways to gain experience, get involved with the community, support your Chamber and meet and connect with many wonderful, hard working people that live and work in the area. You never know who you are going to meet or what special contact you just might connect with - new acquaintances and also new friends.
There is an extremely dedicated staff at the Aurora Chamber that is always willing and available to assist our members - Judy Marshall, Executive Director; Nancy Eveleigh Browne, Event Manager; Caroline Rusnell, Office Administrator; Teri Hastings, Member Services Coordinator and Allison Morris, Office Assistant - all work diligently, planning and running a variety of events throughout the year that benefit our members and help move business forward.
Special thanks to the Board of Directors, all of whom give very generously of their time, and special talents. It is truly a pleasure to be involved with a group that is very passionate about its members, the community, and the customers and clients that they serve.
